Stink Eye **Sketchabilities 48**

Wow Monday already, and it is reveal day over at Sketchabilities. Karan did a wonderful sketch for #48 and it was amazing to work with. I also used the color palette #60 from The Color Room for this layout. I used BasicGrey papers and lots of other goodies on here. There is lots of inking and masking, distressing and gorgeous flowers. The photo is my grand daughter giving “the eye” while trying on new clothes.

In this close up you can see the layers and distressed edges. I also used Prima packaging to frame the photo.

I used a Prima say it with gems and lace as the butterfly trail. The butterfly is from a file at Swirlydoos….just print it, cut it out and add stickles to it.

The bottom has masking underneath then some punch work on the upper layers. I tucked in a Dusty Attic snowflake in the flower cluster.

This was a fun layout to make and I hope that you pop on over to Sketchabilities and play along with this gorgeous sketch. Each reveal there has been a guest designer chosen from the entries design for an upcoming reveal…maybe it will be you, good luck. Well that is it for today…I now have the horrible chore of going to the dentist today..eeeeks, I am so not looking forward to this, I am actually having a molar pulled out and I am kinda nervous about it….wish me luck. I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Layout and a card **Swirlydoos**

Hi everyone, wow this weekend is going by way way too fast. I went away a couple of weeks ago and my girl friend looked after my love bird so I made this little card for her today to thank her, and the layout is for the Round Robin challenge at Swirlydoos. Almost everything on both projects is from Swirlydoos. The layout has lots of punching, I used some gesso with a mask and misting, and lots of layers of goodies on this. The photo is my grandson Johnathan when he was tiny.

I fussy cut from the Bo Bunny Gabrielle papers for this piece, and you can see the distressing on the outside of this layout here.

Below is a couple of close-ups of the chippy and the flower clusters with a butterfly and crystals. The butterfly is from a file at Swirlydoos, just print it and cut it out. I added some stickles to it.

Here are a couple of close up s of the masking that I did with gesso, distress inks and mists, and you can see all the layers framing the photo.

I used my May kit for the little thank you card and added in some Dusty Attic vine pieces and some seam binding for the bow. I like the saying inside I think it is funny and she will love it.

Well that is it for today…tomorrow is reveal day at Sketchabilities and I will have a new layout for that one. I hope that you have a fantastic weekend.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

US - SOUS

Hello and welcome to my blog today. Well I got to go shopping today, I even looked for more Glitz papers but NO, I could not find any grrrr. And I am just loving the papers too, good thing I have a few pieces to use up. I would hoard them but I am trying to not hoard scrappy goodies and use them up instead. This layout is using the Glitz Love Games collection papers and goodies. I did lots of distressing, inking, used lots of layers and Dusty Attic. I used a sketch from Stuck On You Sketches…it is just an amazing sketch to work with. This layout came together so fast. The photo is me and hubby.

I used lots of pop ups to try and make the layers stand out. I also did some masking on the red layer. You can see the DA leaves and chicken wire tucked in with the flower cluster.

In this corner is a DA scroll that is covered in smooch paints and I added some gems.

On the top corner is the DA butterfly that I soaked in water so that I could peel the chippy layers. This is also a good view of all the distressing.

This is a side shot so you can get an idea of the layers and depth on this layout.

Well that is it for today…I do have two more layouts completed and will post them soon. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend, and happy Memorial Day to my US followers. Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Beautiful – funky fold card

Oh I am busy busy today since I got home….I even had time to make a little card tonight, so I thought I would share J I used the funky fold technique by Cheryl, you can see it here. I used my Swirlydoos May kit and the gorgeous Glitz papers for this one. I have a wedding coming up and might give them this card.

Here is a side shot and you can see the folds.

And here is a close up of the flowers and the inside.

Ok so for sure that is it for today hehe….I also finished my SOUS layout and will post that tomorrow some time.  Thank you so much for stopping in for a peek. Make the Most **Swirlydoos**

Yippee it’s Friday…doing the happy dance here! Ok are you all ready to get  your Glitz on again..well good lets get at it then. I made this layout using May’s Swirlydoos sketch and kit. I am so in love with the Glitz papers and goodies in the kit and I can not wait to get more of them, and more of their other collections as well. I can feel a shopping trip coming on weeeeeeeee J Ok this layout was made for the sketch challenge at Swirlydoos. I did lots of distressing, inking, masking and clusters. The photo is my daughter in law and my grand daughter..such a sweet photo. Oooo I did faux stitching too. I usually do machine stitching but was at the point in the layout it had to be faux. And did I mention that this may look like a simple layout BUT it’s the space that is hard for me. Embrace the Space Shona…that is what I keep telling myself as I sit here and still want to load up this layout with embellishments.

Here in the title section you can see the distressing on the edges and masking under it. I love all my masks.

Here is the faux stitching…looks pretty good hey, lol.  Sorry but the “hey” is the Canadian coming outta me J  I also did some flower fussy cutting in this section and added some flowers and Dusty Attic ferns in the cluster.

Over in the bottom left corner there is lots of layers of DA and paper under the photo, as well as more flowers and masking.

Well that is it for today…I have my Round Robin layout ready to post maybe tomorrow, and my Sketchabilites one ready for Monday. I am off to play with the SOUS now. Thank you so much for stopping in for a peek. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend, and happy Memorial Day to my US followers. Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

The Glitz papers and embellishments are just unreal beautiful, I am in love with these colors and need more of these papers now. I did lots of layers, distressing, inking, masking and used lots of Dusty Attic. The photo is my grandson Johnathan…talk about a cutie hey..just look at that face. He is breaking hearts already I tell ya! hehe

Here is a close up of the DA birdcage. I painted it white first then used mists and smooch paints on it. I added some ribbon and gems and a piece of Glitz paper behind the cage. The flowers are all from the kit and I added in some DA swirls with the flowers.

The butterflies are from a file at Swirlydoos, you just print them, cut them out, and add some gems and stickles to them. I used my cricut to cut out the bottom piece and did some masking on it with Distress inks and mists. And oh yes, my fav DA piece is tucked in there too. lol CHICKEN WIRE J

On the title section you can see all of the layers and distressing that I did on this layout.

It’s a Guy Thing

Hello and welcome to my blog. It is Monday and I have a stat holiday today so yippee I got to finish up a layout that I started yesterday. I made this for the May sketch challenge at Dusty Attic…what a great sketch to work with. I used my Swirlydoos Timepiece collection kit and lots of DA. There is lots of distressing, some stamping and I even used Gabrielle’s Barb wire tutorial and drew on the barb wire. The photo is my two grandsons.

On the top you can see one of the DA cogs and the DA hinge. I covered them with magical micas, mists and then crackle accents.

On the bottom you can see some stamping that I did behind the chicken wire and more goodies. I even used a couple Tim Holtz acrylic frags.

I used the DA clock face with the photo and also used magical micas and mists on it. Here you can see the barb wire that I drew on.

Well that is it for today, I am off outside into my garden to work out there for the day. Thank you so much for stopping in for a peek. I hope that you all have a fantastic week. Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Well it has been a pretty lazy long weekend so far and I am loving it. Had company last night and now I get to relax today and start some scrappy projects. I just got a Tattered Angels technique kit and I am looking forward to fooling around with the goodies in there. I finished up this layout today, and I used a sketch from Stuck on U Sketches. What an awesome sketch and so much fun to work on. I used papers from the BoBunny Gabrielle collection and did lots of distressing and lots of layers. The photo is my grandson Johnathan and I just love those chubby cheeks he has.

This is a close up of the flower cluster. I tucked in some Dusty Attic vines and chicken wire…I know I know…I love the chicken wire J ….you can also see the distressing and layers in this close up. It is kind of hard to see but across the while bottom I have done some masking.

This is a close up of the DA butterfly. I used smooch paint and glossy accents on it.

Just one more close up of the layers and goodies on this layout.

Well that is it for today, I think I will go and attempt to work on the DA sketch now, and maybe my new Tattered Angels goodies. Thank you so much for stopping in for a peek.
