Be Mine **CT Flying Unicorn**

Happy Hump Day and Feb 1st everyone! WOW Feb already and you know what that means…tonnes of new challenges up at the Flying Unicorn. This is officially my first monthly challenge and I have gone with “Whites and Neutrals +One”.  My “One” that I have chosen is purples so there are a few shades of that on here. I have used paper from Fabscraps High Tea collection, glimmer mists, Zva crystals and some Dusty Attic chippys…all available in the store at the Flying Unicorn. The photo is my grand daughter holding her new little brother..they are just too cute!

I did lots of inking, misting, distressing and stitching on this layout. Here you can see some of the random stitching, stamping and gesso behind the misting.

I have used lots of Prima and Petaloo flowers and a couple of Dusty Attic pieces. The chippys are painted with crackle white picket fence paint.

I love these little hearts that I cut out and added some seam binding and flowers to them. The butterflies are cut from the Fabscraps paper and then I added some ink and gems to them. I have also tucked in a couple of paper doilys and more stamping behind them.

Here is a shot of all the yummy layers.

Well that is it for today…I will be back tomorrow with another new layout!  Don’t forget to stop by the Flying Unicorn store for all you scrappy supplies..and swing by the forums for some super fun challenges with amazing RAKS as prizes.  Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Barbie Girl

Happy Sunday everyone! I am just getting in under the wire here to get my entry in for this months BAP sketch from Prima. I have also used this weeks color palette from The Color Room. I have used Prima Printery papers and canvas pieces and a few Dusty Attic chippys..you can get them all at The FlyingUnicorn store. The photo is my grand daughter..she loves her barbies!

I did lots of distressing and some masking. The canvas pieces are just misted with smooch and the DA chippy is first painted white then I added some glimmer mist and gems.

I misted the large Prima flower to get the right color and cut up the black Prima fabric leaves to make them smaller. I just love the resist on the canvas pieces.

Close up of the larger DA piece and you can see the doily that is misted in the background.

Here is some of the masking and more Prima goodies on the layout.

Well that is it for today…I will be back soon! Don’t forget to stop by the Flying Unicorn store for all you scrappy supplies. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Love

Happy Saturday all!!!!! Today I have a layout to show that I made yesterday after work. It was one of those layouts that just flew together…seriously it practically made itself LOL! I have used papers from The Enchanted Bo Bunny collection, this weeks BoBunny sketch, some amazing sneak peeks for you at Dusty Attics new chippys to seen be released, and I used the colors from this week at CSI. The photo is my niece and hubby last summer.

I fussy cut some of the Bo Bunny papers to add layers, added some liquid pearls to the title and tucked in a journal section by the photo. Here is a sneak at one of the new DA chippys…the cute little mini hour glasses. I have used a couple on this layout.

I did lots of distressing, a little bit of misting and tucked in a misted paper doily in sections.

I just love this new chippy coming out from DA …the heart with the two faces on it. I added some liquid pearls under the coat of black smooch to make it look not flat. I added a few flowers from my stash, some buttons, brads and rhinestones, and some crinkle seam binding to finish it off.

Well that is it for today…I will be back soon! Don’t forget to stop by the Flying Unicorn store for all you scrappy supplies. If you are looking for the brand new PION, it was loaded into the store last night….hurry it will not last long!  Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping !

Kylee **The Flying Unicorn** CSI **

Hi everyone…I have finally made a layout that I can show you. I have been super busy getting CT work done for The Flying Unicorn for Feb. For this layout I have used this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch from The FlyingUnicorn and colors from CSI. The gorgeous papers are Riddersholm and they are available in the store at The Flying Unicorn. The photo is my grand daughter…just a sweetie!!!

The Dusty Attic leaves…first I traced out the leaves onto some Riddersholm papers and then cut them out and inked them. I misted the chippy and then used pop ups to adhere the paper leaves to the chippy…off setting them just a bit.

I have also added a little banner with little words that all remind me of Kylee. I have also used pop ups on the banner for dimension. The little butterflies are cut from the same papers.

Here is a side shot of the layout. Lots of yummy layers.

Well that is it for today…I will be back soon!  Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping !!

Lots of embossing and layers of white. The title piece and little hour glass are chippys from Dusty Attic too. The hour glass is a sneak peek and from their upcoming reveal.

Dream **Dusty Attic -SOUS **

TGIF! This week has gone by way too fast!!  Actually this month has so far and today is another reveal day at Stuckon U Sketches and the gorgeous sketch is by our own fabulous Nanne. I have used Glitz papers and goodies and did lots of distressing, fussy cutting, tucked in some Dusty Attic chippys in the flower clusters and I tried a paper folding technique that I saw at Tammy’s Blog. The photo is my niece last summer.

Here is a close up of the main flower cluster…lots of flowers from my stash and I tucked in a piece of Dusty Attic from the Wrought Iron Design set DA0574. I first painted it white then added some inks, glimmer glam and mists. I then dabbed some more white on it to give it a rustic look.

Here you can see the fussy cutting that I did on the Glitz paper and also the paper folding technique behind the photo. That was fun to try!

We have surprise Sponsor for the rest of the month at Stuck On U Sketches..Stephanie from Whimsical Designs has donated some of her very own stamp collections to some very lucky winners of our sketch and die challenges this month..so remember, the more you play the more chances there are of you winning.. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Smooches! And New Beginnings!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! Today I have a couple of projects that I have done for challenges. The first one is a little card that I made for the BoBunny card challenge. You had to use ribbon and buttons. I have used papers from the BoBunny Smoochable collection. The ribbon is crinkle seam binding with a Smoochable brad in the center and I had a little heart button that I have aadded some twine and attached to the fussy cut hearts.

My next project is a layout and I used the sketch from OnceUpon a Sketch and the colors from CSI. I did lots of distressing, masking, I made the rosettes and added some of the New Dusty Attic products. The photo is my grand daughter and her new little brother. The journaling is about how this will be a new beginning for her as well as she is no longer the baby of the family…it will be a huge change for her and she is very excited to be a big sister. Yessssss I see I spelled the title wrong! Hehe…oh well….I am going to leave itJ

Here you can see the masking and distressing. The new Rose Vine from Dusty Attic is first painted white then I added some glimmer glam and inks to it.

This is a good shot of the color combo for CSI and you can see all the layers behind the photo.

This is a Sneak Peek of one of the new yummy chippys to be released soon from Dusty Attic. I have used white paint and then some smooch and liquid pearls on the DA Bird House. I tucked in some gauze and ribbon in the flower cluster. I made the rosette flowers and used some paint on the edges of them.

And lastly a shot of all the yummy layers.

Well that is it for today, I will be back tomorrow with my reveal fro SOUS! Don’t forget to come and join in on the fun at The FlyingUnicorn. We have a weekend crop party starting tomorrow nite with lots of door prizes, games, challenges and RAKS up for grabs. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
