Sweet **SOUS**

HI there and TGIF!!!!! Wow and it is a long weekend to boot here…so double bonus J Today is reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches with another fun and orginal sketch to work with. I have used Prima Almanac collection and some Dusty Attic chippys, all from the Flying Unicorn store. There is lots of distressing and masking in the background on this layout of my cutie pie grand daughter.

This collection is just too much fun to work with, so many wonderful fussy cut elements on it.

The butterfly is just fussy cut from the papers and the chippy is painted white, then I added some distress stickles to it.

Here you can see some of the brick masking with gesso in the back ground.

One last close up of the yummy layers.

Well that is it for today. I am actually on Vancouver Island right now visiting my daughter and family.  Come on over to the Stuck on U Sketches blog and play along with us, there is lots of inspiration there. Treasure

Happy Saturday everyone! Finally home for a weekend and I got to play some today…after all, what better thing to do while laundry is washing then to get in a bit of scrappy time right! I created this layout for the current challenge at CSI..and the new palette is just gorgeous! I love CSI, not only does it get my creative juices flowing with the palettes but it gives me that push to get some journaling done on my layouts! I have used the new Prima Romance Novel collection, and the chippys and flowers are Dusty Attic, all available at the Flying Unicorn store. I have done lots of distressing and masking and some white washing with gesso on this one. I have scrapped this photo before of my grand daughter, but the beauty of giving so many of my layouts to my kids is that I get to rescrap my favs.

The Sceme: use all colors in the palette. Check.

The Evidence: I have used lots of wet mediums…gesso, molding paste and glimmer mists. There is masking done with molding paste and distress inks. I also made my butterflies with stripes on them and added a little bird to the flower cluster. Check.

Testimony: My journal strips are based on the 5 Ws.
Case solved LOL!

Well that is it for today.  Have a great weekend everyone!  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Riddersholm *CT Flying Unicorn*

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Right now at the Flying Unicorn we are promoting Riddersholm papers and All Riddersholm is 20 percent off right now in the store. I have two projects to share today that I have made with Riddersholm goodies. The first one is a layout I have created. Love the sheet of tags that comes with the collection..perfect for embellishments. I did a bit of misting and added bits of gesso in the background.

The flowers I used are from Petaloo and the chippys are from Dusty Attic, all also available in the Flying Unicorn store.

Here are two of the tags that I just cut out from the sheet and inked the edges.

And one close up of the flowers and Dusty Attic chicken wire.

I also made a card to show you today. I cut a tag from the papers again and also the title from the same sheet. Add a bow and some goodies and it is all done.

Well that is it for today. Stop on by the Flying Unicornstore and stock up during the sale. I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

AUGUST KOM – “Remember the Tomorrows” CT Flying Unicorn Part 3

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I have part 3 from the Flying Unicorn August KOM “Remember the Tomorrows”. Today I am going to show you the Off The Page Projects that I have made and they come with the main kit. I actually only made 3 of the 4 canvas’s and will make one later on. Before I started I went out to hubbys garage and stole his dry wall tape LOL! Its mine now all mine…yippee!!! Here is the first one I made. I used lots of his drywall tape, masking with molding paste and mists on this one.

I did some stamping with black ink and added in some Prima canvas pieces.

I finished it off with a few Dusty Attic chipppy and flowers…all available in the Flying Unicorn store.

I am not quite sure if I like the next one I made but hey..it is a learning experience J

I covered the canvas with tissue paper in the kit and added lots of gesso and mists again.

I stamped the Dusty Attic chippy wings and added in some chicken wire. Than I finished it off with a few embellishments.

I really like the last one, the colors are different for me and I like them.

Once again I have added some drywall tape LOL! And lots of misting and gesso. The chippy is from Dusty Attic and I did some stamping under them.

Well that it for today. Have a great weekend everyone!  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
